Iranica: the voice of the Iranian people in images

The FIAP Jean Monnet, in support of the Iranian people, presents this moving exhibition from May 1st, 2026.

“Iranica”

Acrylic on canvas
180 cm x 450 cm
2026

This work was created between March and April 2026, in connection with the movement of the Sun and the Lion, a symbol of the Iranian people massacred in January 2026 by the theocratic regime.

This painting portrays the heroes of this movement, as well as those of previous movements, notably Woman, Life, Freedom.

They are represented alongside the phoenix, a mythical and immortal bird that is reborn from its ashes and whose tears heal the deepest wounds.

The technique used is reminiscent of a fresco, aiming to depict street demonstrations and convey their collective energy.
